Expirence brings change

It's weird how what you see, even as small an expirence can change your most stubborn and ignorant beliefs..Its funny to think I was once labeled on this site, "a hard conservative." Yet my anger rises.

I see pain. I see need

I see liars and theives abuse power with greed

I had hope. I believed

But I'm beginning to think that I've been decieved.

No words can sum it up better. That was a song from "Minutes to Midnight" by Linkin Park.

All in all, I think this whole campaign has lost the "why" in what it is we are trying to accomplish. Hell, even the "what" we're trying to accomplish. I still retain my beliefs and ideals of what it is we are supposed to be as a nation. But no longer do I think we are moving in the right direction.

Explosive gas prices? No relief towards massive national disasters? A war in which there's no "why" anymore? A nation totally divided? I sit here thinking, believing that the next President could destroy America as we know it, and I'm like, "what ever happened to not even caring who's in charge?" America has become a place where the battles for presidency are so firece that people give up hope in themselves when the "wrong" leader is elected and spend the rest of the term attacking their policies. Whatever happened to just going about life, living each day to the fullest. Or has this nation become so corrupt that every day is a fight to the finish.

I remain traditional American. I believe that America was well founded, on good morals. We have our cruel past, but so does every nation. Why so much fight to change what has worked for over 200 years? What do you think?

"Hands Held High" is yet another great song from Linkin Park that describes my conflicting beliefs. Take a listen to it.

Live with Passion

Anchors Aweigh

Well, my wish was granted. In fact Im even getting more than I asked for! Im going to deploy. Not to Iraq, but to the 13th MEU!(Marine Expeditionary Unit). The 13th MEU is a MAGTF (Marine Air Ground Task Force) which mission is to provide a forward-deployed rapid response force capable of conducting conventional amphibious and maritime special operations at night or in harsh weather conditions by land, sea, or air. The 13th MEU's history includes Operation More Care, providing humanitarian support for Somalian Citizens, Desert Sheild and Desert Storm, Operation United Shield where they provided cover and amphibious assults to cover the withdrawl of UNISOM from Somalia. Operation Southern Watch where the 13th MEU enforced the no-fly zone over Iraq, and Operation Determined Response, where the 13th MEU recovered the USS Cole, who had fallen victem to a terrorist bombing in Yemen.

I'll be in Pendleton at first, then deploy in Febuary. I'll be making stops in various ports around the world to train. It'll be freakin' great!

I love you Kayleigh. And I always will. I promise to remain true to you in my deployment. I'll keep in contact wherever I go. I love you.

I'll be sure to keep this site updated with pics of what i'm doing. I hope to hear from you all when I go. Semper Fi and God Bless.

Y2K Came Late

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the lack of posts and responses.  I was responding to everyone the computer continually crashed.  So now I'm frustrated, and I'll respond when I cool back down.  And when the computer wants to work.

God Bless and Semper Fi.
